MAIP Fellow 2019 | New York City

Hello my friends,

It’s been a while since I blogged last but I wanted to share something exciting . The last few months I’ve been extremely busy with school and working towards some academic goals that will hopefully open new doors as I enter the advertising industry. With that said, my hard work finally paid off. I landed an internship working in the big apple this summer! Thats right, New York City!

Never did I think that I would get an internship in NYC. A college kid from a small town in Texas, working for one the largest Ad agencies in NYC was nowhere near what I had planned for this summer. But little did I know that the city of dreams was expecting me and there was more to learn outside of Houston, Texas.

The Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP), is part of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) and a recognizable organization who’s mission is to provide and showcase exceptional talent through development opportunities. In other words, MAIP is a program that creates a platform for advertising students like myself to not only advance our careers as young professionals but add diversity within the advertising industry. Without MAIP my NYC internship wouldn’t be possible and I am incredibly thankful that they picked me along with many other talented individuals to be the face of this organization.

Stay tuned to find out which agency I’ll be interning at…
